The normalizer tool can stretch the intensities coded to the LAS files to a 16-bit range if the original coding is lower. In other words, the software performs a histogram transformation to allow the user to use the intensity values better for the point clouds.
The tool can be accessed from the Tools menu, and select Normalize Point-cloud option.
After selecting the Normalize Point-cloud option, a browser window will appear where one or more point clouds can be chosen. After the user has selected the files, the config window will appear, where the user can choose what and how would need to be modified inside the selected file(s).
By selecting the checkboxes, the user can adjust the RGB and the intensity values. After pressing Continue, the software will modify the LAS file(s), and a window will appear at the end of the process to inform the user about the completion of the process.
