ΒΆ Shape Layout Versions
As PCS is constantly developing, sometimes major updates are being deployed. These updates are usually not punctual; they happen over time. The shape toolbar layout update has been deployed between Q3-Q4 of 2023. Those users who installed the software before the summer of 2023 use the shape layout version 0. Those users who installed the software after the summer of 2023 use the shape layout version 1. The main difference is that Layout version 0 had multiple tools under the More, Topology Tools and Tree Measure dropdown menus at the end of the toolbar. In contrast, Layout Version 1 eliminated the More menu and reorganized the tools to Shape Toolbar 2, Topology Toolbar and Complex Measures Toolbar. The software is expected to update the layout automatically from Q3-Q4 2024. The user can manually update the layout if modifies the following file:
C:\Users\<your user>\Documents\PointCloudScene\Settings\global_settings.xml
Inside the file, change the 0 to 1 for the following line:
<LayoutVersion>0</LayoutVersion>
Don't forget to save the changes. The software shall be closed when you perform this change.
